Congratulations to the ACP Premium Member Ernesto Inarkiev for winning the European Individual Chess Championship in a great style! Silver and Bronze go to ACP Premiums Igor Kovalenko and Baadur Jobava respectively. It is nice to see ACP Members occupying all the top places, but even those of our guys who did not do exceptionally great, scoring 7/11 will get a special ACP prizes (1000 Euro each!).

The Tata Steel Chess Tournament and the ACP will continue their cooperation in 2017. In the Tata Steel Challengers a spot will be awarded to a veteran player (45+). Next year that will be Israeli Grandmaster Ilya Smirin (1968), who previously participated in the tournament in Wijk aan Zee in 1993 and 1994. He is the first participant of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2017 to be announced. Tata Steel Chess Tournament director Jeroen van den Berg: “Smirin is known as a very strong Grandmaster and chess aficionados like him for his daring and attacking style”.

Chess Supersite Corporation has signed an Agreement with ACP (Association of Chess Professionals to become the Title Sponsor of the ACP Women's Cup 2016, which will be officially promoted as ACP Chess Supersite Women's Cup 2016. Chess Supersite Corp. will receive exclusive rights for the live video broadcast for the event.

The Association of Chess Professionals continues the tradition of appreciating and awarding the best chess organizers from around the world. To determine the best event, we invite you all to pick your most-liked events from each of the following categories – Round Robin, Open, Official and Rapid/Blitz. 

Each member is asked to vote for a maximum of 3 tournaments in each of the categories of tournaments below, and up to 5 in the combined list, which will determine the ACP Tournament of the Year 2015.

The International Chess Tournament “ Nona -75th anniversary” ACP Open will be played from 21 – 30 April, 2016 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
