Dear Colleagues,
In this article we'd like to inform you about a proposal that we have been working on for some time.
After the eventful summer ACP continues with organisation of streams on its Twitch channel.
This time we want to tackle an important issue for every chess player - how to handle their personal finances.
A lot of people in the world are not well-versed when it comes to personal finance and unfortunately chess players are not an exception. Therefore, we would like to give you an opportunity to learn about this important topic.
In view of the FIDE Presidential Election (August 7, 2022, at the FIDE General Assembly in Chennai, India), the Association of Chess Professionals hosted a round table discussion: The Next 4 Years - The Future for Chess and FIDE. The Presidential candidates ( the current FIDE President, Mr. Arkady Dvorkovich, Mr. Andrii Baryshpolets and Mr. Bachar Kouatly) took part in the round table. The discussion was hosted by WGM Maria Gevorgyan and Mr. Yuri Garrett, ACP Deputy President.

As our host Dina Belenkaya announced during the last panel discussion on Gender Equality, ACP’s next stream was planned to be about sexism in chess.
The content material was ready, we planned for a date in June and then we encountered a problem that we never thought he would – we couldn’t assemble a guest list.
The General Assembly of the ACP took place from 20 to 30 April 2022.

Dear Colleagues,
The whole world had another difficult year battling the resilient virus. The ups and downs in that battle affected chess as there were more tournaments during the summer and less in the winter periods.
ACP’s activity was reduced in 2021. We followed through on our promise and in cooperation with ECU we secured special prizes of 1000 EUR for our Premium Members at the European Individual Championships in Reykjavik (open) and Iasi (women). I hope that we managed to help the players with these prizes.
We had an amazing and fruitful discussion today on the topic of Gender Equality in Chess!
As FIDE announced 2022 to be the year of Women in Chess, we decided to invite yet another stellar cast to talk about a very important issue: should there be separate events/titles/prizes for women and men?
