ACP to Cooperate with Sunway Sitges International Chess Festival

ACP would like to announce its cooperation with one of the latest additions (the tournament was first organised in 2014) to the open European circuite, the Sunway Sitges International Chess Festival.

The tournament will be held from December 14-23 in the beautiful Hotel Sunway Playa Golf&Spa Sitges. The impressive prize fund of 25 000 EUR has a first prize set at 5000 EUR, making it very attractive for all players.

ACP protesta

Review of our Recent Activities

Dear friends,

Here’s a review of our recent activities:

Cooperation with possibly the strongest open in Europe this summer, the Najdorf Memorial - ACP Open in Warsaw, that was won by our Premium Member Kacper Piorun. The tournament saw a big number of ACP Premiums who received excellent conditions and special prizes - donated by the ACP. We hope to be able to continue our cooperation with the organisers for the years to come.

Congratulations to Matlakov and Jobava

The ACP wishes to congratulate Premium Members Maxim Matlakov and Baadur Jobava on their excellent showing at the recently finished European Individual Chess Championship in Minsk, Belarus.

Both Grandmasters finished on 8.5/11 and shared first place, the title going to Maxim due to better tie break. Their way to the top was completely different – Maxim played a solid and controlled tournament from start to finish, while Baadur, perhaps more in line with his temperament, had a most exciting tournament: he started with 1/3 and then won an incredible 7 (!) games in a row!
